On Monday, April 22, Klein College will celebrate receiving the Equity and Diversity Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication award with a day of programming to highlight the commitment of our faculty, staff and students to lift up voices, connect with North Philadelphia and strive for inclusion.

We invite you to join us for an interactive showcase of student and faculty research and initiatives across Klein College. This Inclusion showcase will be held in the atrium of Annenberg Hall from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22.

Then, at 4:00 p.m., in the Great Court of Mitten Hall, Dr. Marie Hardin, President of AEJMC and Dean of the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State University, will present the AEJMC Equity and Diversity award to Dean Boardman. Included in this celebration will be a panel discussion of Klein College faculty on the topic, “Where do we still need to go?” The panel features Professors Clemencia Rodriguez, David Mindich, Scott Gratson and Karen Turner, moderated by Klein College alumnus, master’s student and adjunct instructor, Rafael Logrono. This celebration will be followed by a reception in the Great Hall.

We hope you will join us for this wonderful celebration of achievements in equity and diversity across Klein College!
